- The Exteriors: Admire the gleaming 77-meter torus-shaped structure with calligraphy panels all around. The absence of columns inside makes this structure quite a feat in modern engineering.
- The Interiors: Spread across 5 floors are 5 different chapters for you: each with distinctive problem statements, goals, and ideas. Start on floor 5 and make your way down, floor-by-floor in a cascading fashion.
- The 5 chapters cover themes of climate change, ecology, health, wellness, spirituality, imagination, and the future of space travel and living.
- Floor 6 is private and inaccessible. Floor 7 is the Events Hall, where you may enter. The main exhibits are only on floors 1 through 5.

- The design theme for the Museum of the Future is inspired by the famous "Feng Shui" concept.
- The Museum of the Future has no corners or columns. It is quite an architectural feat.
- The Arabic calligraphy engraved all over the exteriors of the building is approximately 700 words. These words are taken from the poems of HH Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The unique shape of the building speaks for itself when it comes to futuristic design. The torus-shaped structure is symbolic of humanity that sits atop a green mound that represents the Earth. The void shows us an unknown future that we can steer in a positive direction.
Arabic Calligraphy
The structure is enveloped in Arabic calligraphy- 3 quotes from His Highness, Sheik Mohammed, rendered in the calligraphy of Mattar Bin Lahej. It says “the future belongs to those who can imagine, design, and execute it,” “We may not live for hundreds of years, but the products of our creativity can leave a legacy long after we are gone,” and most importantly, “The future does not wait. The future can be designed and built today.” These quotes are meant to inspire us to be the change we wish to see in our future.

1. Adjust your eyes to the bright white insides!
Enter the monumental atrium and take in the neat interiors bathed in a warm glow. Gaze up at the calligraphy panels that are spread throughout the building- these panels serving as a connection to the outer world.

2. Zoom Up To A Makeshift Space Station
Your journey starts on floor 5. You’ll then trickle down, one floor at a time, in a cascading fashion, until you’re right where you started- the lobby! Hold on tight as the elevator speeds up to the 5th level, where your experience officially begins with Chapter 1: OSS Hope. Keep in mind that unlike in most galleries, the MOTF doesn’t have labels for what you’ll see: you are encouraged to use your creativity and imagination.

3. Chapter 1: OSS Hope (Floor 5)
Dock at Orbital Space Station (OSS) Hope and enter the station’s command center. Find out the missions undertaken by OSS Hope and learn about its discoveries and inventions.

4. Chapter 2: Heal Institute (Floor 4)

5. Chapter 3: Al Waha (Floor 3)
Al Waha, or “The Oasis” is where you will disconnect from technology and revive your senses. The year may be 2071, and technology may have advanced significantly since you stepped into the museum, but this chapter is all about finding the right balance between reality and virtuality. You are encouraged to leave technology behind and embrace your imagination.
